The web site is targeting people searching for accommodations
in the fair and expo cities, be it visitors or exhibitors.
The accommodations offered by private persons and small
hotels are mostly much cheaper than commercial objects in those
areas, which are centers of trade fairs. Registration for landlords is free, no membership
fee is required. Guests
pay a small reservation fee.
The colorscheme and logo was defined by client.
Front end functionality:
- Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox compatible.
- Search for
available accommodations
- Pop-up calendar to select date
of arrival and departure.
- Location of accommodation is assigned to an expo-city/expo
country
- User can filter search by distance to city-center,
expo and fair ground, airport, train station, public transport
or for the party-animals restaurants and pubs. Price. All accommodations with pictures are displayed first.
- Detail view of accommodations.
- Book accommodation.
- Currency converter.
- Payment Gateway PayPal IPN to pay the calculated reservation fee,
- Redirect to expo-rooms website to close the deal and deliver
the guests the contact details of the landlord.
- If user closes the window at PayPal after the payent (which is a common mistake users make) the mails are sent and the accommodation is closed for bookings automatically for the booked date.
- E-mail notifications with booking details (date booked,
price per day, total costs for stay, contact details of landlords,
address of accommodation, tenant contact details) are send
to landlord, admin and user when the Accommodation is booked.
- Tenants receive
Ranking PIN implemented in booking confirmation e-mail, providing
the opportunity to rank the accommodation after their visit.
The PIN is connected to the accommodation and tenant. It
cannot be used otherwise. It expires after usage.
- Ranking is displayed in Search result for available accommodations and can be viewed in
the ranking detail view.
